cornholio7 Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 i believe this is a new CMC dye , if its as bad as their old dye then it will give such errors. try verbatim or taiyo yuden
blutach Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I'd slow that speed down too, esp if it is a CMC. Certainly looks like a crappy media message. Regards
spinningwheel Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Your dye is indeed CMC, you can find a test of it HERE. CMC has always presented us problems, you might want to shange to TY's or Verbatims.
lfcrule1972 Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Great change the dye name so as we don't instantly spot it as being as shite as their normal product !
zacoz Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 You've got to wonder how they can rate it at 16x - do they actually get what they consider good burns at that speed ? Actually, they probably use TY's or Verbatims rather than their own crap.
Grain Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 My local Costco had 200 printable TDK's (which is I believe what we're talking about) for $45CAD, but they were MIT. Seems like a lot of companies are switching to Taiwan made discs now, possibly due to volume demands, or just as likely profit margins.
DKAngel Posted November 30, 2005 Author Posted November 30, 2005 Sp these things just tend to die half way thru burning? so far 3 discs cactus looks like ill keep away from these puppies ahh well what a waste of monie
lfcrule1972 Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 As I posted in your other thread - you might get one or two discs that burn correctly but I wouldn't hold your breath that you will be able to watch them again in a couple of years
