simonh Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 hi all. I am a user of mpeg audio collection: http://mac.sourceforge.net/ for those of you that have never used it, it scans any cd or dvd for audio files and builds a database of everything. I am after something similar that will do the same with all file types. cheers for any help.
simonh Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 anybody? Am i the first person to want to know whats on my dvd's? Does everyone else just have a big pile of discs and goes through each one trying to find what they are looking for??? Don't make me ask on another forum goddammit
MarkC Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Ok, I'll have a go, I was looking for something to catalog my collection of backups and discs recently and came across Cathy at http://www.mtg.sk/rva/, which is a bit basic but does what I need. Especially now I've got all my discs filed in some kind of order.

Bob Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 (edited) Hello simomh, If I thought you just wanted to make a list of files I would have suggested Karens dirprint program at http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptdirprn.asp It is configurable to list just the files types that you specify. But it does not form a database. Edited March 2, 2007 by Bob
dontasciime Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 As long as you kept everything in folders you could open cmd prompt and type tree /f eg for drive f tree f: /f then right click / select all open new text doc and paste into then save / cancel and choose unicode.
