Question about DL burning

ATandT

Recommended Posts

If I burn a DVD +R dl with DVD Decrypter, the DVD plays perfect in my stand alone. If I burn a DVD +R dl with Img Burn the DVD stop playing on LB. What can it be? If I change the booktype or not it is allways the same. "And sorry for my english!"

If I burn a DVD +R dl with DVD Decrypter, the DVD plays perfect in my stand alone. If I burn a DVD +R dl with Img Burn the DVD stop playing on LB.

Why that would happen does not make sense, the burning section of the former program formed the basis for the ImgBurn program, as far as I know.

Please post an ImgBurn logfile...there are line items in there that we need to see that may point to the problem.

Are you using Verbatim +R DL discs?

I don't suppose you have another drive that support disc quality / pipo scanning do you?

I would think your drive just produced a shocking burn on that media. I wouldn't even use CMC DL media at 2.4x, let alone 8x.

You should also verify your burns (as part of the overall process) and then look at the graph data via dvdinfopro.

You can tell a lot by looking at the verify speed lines in graph - as it's basically a transfer rate test.

I can burn every DL DVD whith DVD Decrypter (Verbatim,Phillips Ritec...) and they play all pefect on my stand allone.

When I burn a DL DVD with Imgburn the layer 0 plays perfect, but the layer 1 can not be found. So there mast be a different

betwin this two progamms by setting the DL Breakpoint.

And sorry for my english, but it`s not the best.

Well, both programs tell you in the log where the LB will be put.

Compare them and tell us what you see.

I don't do anything with the LB at burn time, I simply maintain a steady stream of data to the drive from start to finish. The drive deals with all the LB stuff.
