First of all, I love it

 

But on to the point:

I used ImgBurn to burn my friend two DVDs full of data. When I viewed them on my computer, they showed up, folders and all full of music and stuff. But when I got to his house, they showed up as blank, and I even downloaded ImgBurn, and it still says theres nothign on the DVDs...

for DVD-r to be showing as 2.4x i would check to see if there is a firmware update to the writer and maybe try different media in it.

 

It may also be of benefit to check all cables, check your dma, and do a scan of hard drive for errors

 

 

 

[edit] maybe also check to see if there are any newer chispet drivers for your motherboard, or if your using nvidia ide drivers try using standard microsoft ones

Blimey you have a lot of 'buffer' issues!

 

Are you burning from a laptop or something? If not, your hdd must be very slow and/or is very fragmented. Your logs show it having a hard time sustaining even 4x, and that's never a good thing!

 

I'm also not a fan of TTG02 media. Try some Verbatim (MCC dye) or Taiyo Yuden discs instead.

TTG02 media is not great as the boss said I only use it for burning single tv episodes.....

Well, I coinsider myself highly knowledgeable in computers... but I think I missed a lot there... lol. I'll be sure to defragment my computer (which is a desktop).

 

I also saw where it would slow down and stop for periods of time. Mabye I set some options wrong? I wasn't sure about a lot of the stuff. It also asked me something about being unable to "lock" (i think) the disk, and so I just had to ignore it.

failure to lock the drive for exclusive access means another program was open that was accessing or trying to use the drive
