Don't get it

Hi,

I have a LG GSA-4167B burner and use DVD-RW Verbatim 6x.

When I want to burn the iso it doesn't write immediately to the disc I think because after says it's finished the tray goes open and close (in bold below) and writes the iso again. Don't see what it is doing. Didn't have that with DVD Decrypter. Also I don't know what the (in bold) errors are.

all OK, when the tray cycles the burn is already finished it then verifys that the ISO is exactly the same as the burned disc .That Log is a perfect burn

But with DVD-Decrypter Burn-proof enabled (same as verify?) he didn't do that.

So if I don't want that I have to disable verify?

Burn-proof is not the same as verify. Burn proof allows the burn to finish succesfully when their are issues over the speed your HDD sends data to the drive for an example. These could cause the disc to be crapped if not enabled

Verify does as polo said, it cycles the tray and then checks the burnt .iso against the original image to ensure all is ok. If you really don't want this you can turn it off in the settings.

I wonder why your machine can't keep filling the buffer quickly enough though... that's most odd as you've obviously got a decent pc if it's running Vista.

Are you busying doing other stuff whilst burning?

You should leave Verify enabled. It's the best way to know if you've just made a decent burn. If the verify fails, you've got problems - and clearly you'd never know about them if you don't use that feature.

No, not doing anything else. My buffer is 20mb, is that too small maybe?

Leave the program set to defaults, it works best that way.

If you're not doing something maybe the machine is anyway. Look at your processes and what you are loading at startup and see what you can do away with while working with IB. I use a proces/program killing app. called enditall 2 and it works wonders. I don't know if it works under Vista or not, you can check it out at PC Magazine. There are a lot of apps out there if it doesn't, just use GOOGLE for application killers...
