soup2nuts
This is about Lite-On LH-20A1S (9L02). First burn, change booktype for Dvd+R media to Dvd-ROM, success. Next burn check booktype to make sure it still says Dvd-ROM for Dvd+R media, it does. Next burn, check booktype & it says Normal3 for Dvd+R media. The reason why I check now is that I got caught assuming it was automatic & the disc turned out booktyped to Dvd+R, which still played so no problem. It doesn't bother me that I have to check with this drive each time, I would just like to know what Normal3 means as opposed to normal? BTW thank you for a great program. LIGHTNING UK!
Isn't it 'Normal (3)' ? I don't have the official specs for booktyping on LiteOn drives so I don't actually know what '3' means. I expect it to be a 0 or 1 I think, but 3 is typical of a drive where no setting has been configured.
soup2nuts
Thank you for the reply. I can't remember if it is Normal (3) but I will confirm after the next couple of burns when it reverts back to that before I set it manually.
LIGHTNING UK!
Why don't you set the eeprom values, then you won't have to touch it again?!
JasonFriday13
PS: How do you do that again? My LG never remembers its booktype.
mmalves
PS: How do you do that again? My LG never remembers its booktype. ImgBurn, by default, automatically sets the booktype to DVD-ROM on LG (HL-DT-ST) and Samsung (TSSTcorp) drives.
