Matte Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I?m have trouble burning images on dvd-rw. The quick erase always fails and the slow one takes forever. What is wrong, can I do it in some other way?
mmalves Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Does ImgBurn show any error when quick erase fails? Please paste the log from one of such failures (you can find them in Help/ImgBurn logs).
polopony Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 let IB format the disc once and you wont have to do it again and you shold be able to rewrite it over and over with no issues
Matte Posted April 9, 2007 Author Posted April 9, 2007 Thank you for your quick replies! I?ll try this.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Sorry polopony, there's no 'overwrite' feature for DVD-RW, that's only on DVD+RW and DVDRAM. For DVD-RW, the Quick/Full commands are actual commands send to the drive. The wouldn't fail unless there was a problem writing to the media. As such, look for a firmware update for your drive and try some totally different -RW media. Verbatim 6x ones are about the best I've used so far. You'd do well to stop using though really, they're not exactly reliable.
