You're not really giving us much to go on!

What type of files are you burning?

How are you burning them?

Where's the log of the burn?

What does the disc look like once burnt if you browse it in explorer?

W 11:50:33 Failed to Read Sector 821036 - Unrecovered Read Error

This is bad. What it means is that your drive (not ImgBurn) is unable to read the disk you've just burned. Just out of curiosity, try burning the same ISO again but slow the burn speed down to 4x and see what happens.

I 12:19:42 Image Contents: 17 Files, 0 Folders

If that's supposed to be a DVD Video disc, no wonder it won't work.

You appear to have all the files in the root of the disc rather than in a VIDEO_TS folder.

The program normally detects DVD Video files in the wrong place and prompts you to see if you actually meant to burn a DVD Video disc.

Do you remember seeing any such prompts when building the image?

I think you should take us through the exact steps of how you did all this ?

i copied a dvd movie with dvd decrypter saved it to a file

opened up imgburn when i found and downloaded it from the web.printed of all the insructions and followed them to the letter.but dont seem to be having much luck .even 1 click copy dvd does the same and its a new pc .i thought it might have been my old pc playing up but its not

i am at a loss and getting thru one hell of a lot of coasters

any help will be great

not playing on your standalone may be that the media you're using Moser Baer India is just not recognized by the player ,this media is relatively new on the scene and we're not too familiar with it at least I'm not .I would suggest that you try different media namely Verbatim +R or Taiyo Yuden +R and then booktype it to DVD Rom for player compatibility, those Sonys are made by Lite On (sony rebadges the drive ) so you would use the Lite On tab for booktyping. Like LUK said all the files must be in a Video_Ts folder

Whatever you've done, it's not right.

You've burnt a disc with IFO/BUP/VOB files I assume (?) and yet according to the logs, you've no folders in the compilation - which of course means you don't have those files in a VIDEO_TS folder - which is a basic requirement for a DVD Video disc.

A lot of newer users had the same problem when build mode came out, the wording of the prompt is a little confusing after you try to make a data dvd out of a set of dvd compliant video files.
