Hi,

I'm a new ImgBurn user and I would like to use the software to backup my PS2 games. I have found many tutorials in wich the procedure is described using DVDdecripter or ImgBurn.

Of course:

1. With READ mode I have made an ISO image of disk.

2. With WRITE mode I have burned it on a DVD-R disk.

3. I was unable to change the book type from DVD-R to DVD-ROM.

I'm working with a Fujitsu-Siemens laptop with a NEC ND-6500A +-RW dual-layer device.

In the change book type menu I have found only DVD+R. I must to change the type of disk or there is another type of problem?

Can you help me?

Thanks!!! :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

3. I was unable to change the book type from DVD-R to DVD-ROM.

That's because you can't change the booktype on -Rs, only on +Rs.

who makes your laptop ?

don't matter it's in your first post.

goto their website and see if they have a firmware update for that drive, unlikely as 2.40 is further up than nec version 2.25

this your laptop LIFEBOOK C1320

there seem to be a few people having problems with the 2.40 firmware, I emailed fujitsu asking where the other firmware is for this drive, they may reply, they may not.

Other people have used firmware 2.25 original firmware, search google on how to go to 2.25, liggy&dee

My laptop is Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo D 1845. I have checked for new firmware on Fujitsu-Siemens web site without success. There are two differnt firmware on NEC site 4.4 (for release before 4.2 and 4.1) and 2.4 (for release 2.2 and 2.1).

I think may be dangerous to update the firmware if I'm not sure to have the correct release.

Do you have any seggestion?:unsure:

you cannot go from 4x series to 2x series or vice versa that is for sure

Anything you use would have to be in 2x range

If lappy is not old see where you bought it from or email fujitsu and tell them it's not working with expensive good quality media.

Try using 8x Verbatim DVD+R rather than 16x. They're probably better suited to your drive.

I don't have this type of disk now. However, I have also tryed to burn my DVD+R with Nero having the same problem. This type is probably incompatible with my device. I want tray to install ImgBurn on another PC to verify this.

Many thanks to the community members!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I have installed ImgBurn on another PC with OEM LG device. I was able to write ISO image on my Verbatim DVD+R 16X but I could not change book type from DVD+R to DVD-ROM. I have also tryed to set the device using the advanced buttom but any attempt was ineffectve!

What happens????

Can you help me?:'(

Before you burn your next discs, just try enabling the bitsetting manually.

If you get a 'Success' message, there's no reason for it not to work. If you don't and it fails, your drive must just not support bitsetting.

Yeah - before the 4163B came out, LG did not support bitsetting.
