Gabriel Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Hello people. This is my first post here so I won't take much of your time (I hope). Well.. I tried to burn but it simply won't work... Seems very odd to me because it worked before... I'll post some screen shots for ya.. See? It's like "grey" where you press to burn... Write mode is activaded, yes. Plus.. this .iso fil is odd.. Take a look at how it looks like... I would really appreciate help.. Thank you/Gabriel
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Yeah you're not really telling us what the problem is! Or at least what you 'think' it is.
blutach Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Dumb question....Is there a blank disk in the drive? Regards
LOCOENG Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Dumb question....Is there a blank disk in the drive? Regards Certainly is a legitimate question....
blutach Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Well, the status bar does say "Medium Not Present". Also, that firmware looks a bit sus - latest is E113 - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2279 Regards
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 I'm really hoping that not having media in the drive IS NOT the issue here! But yeah, the status bar message is currently our biggest clue. Drives that don't support the discs they have in them also use that message (well, some do), so that would be my guess at the moment.
Gabriel Posted June 8, 2007 Author Posted June 8, 2007 Ofcourse I have an empty disk in......... "it would help to see the log please" how to see the log?.. " Well, the status bar does say "Medium Not Present". Also, that firmware looks a bit sus - latest is E113 - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2279 Regards" What's a firmware
cornholio7 Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 look under help->imgburn logs or if the programme is running just press 'L' on your keyboard. firmware updates add new discs to the drives write strategies and improve on existing strategies on some discs
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Use different discs. Your drive doesn't like the ones you're currently using.
blutach Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 And download and run the firmware update. Read the readme in it before you run it (in particular, ensure no disk is in the drive). Regards
