That media is crap. Try and get Verbatim DVD+R DL, as it's the only dual-layer media that works as it should. Also, there's a firmware update available for your burner (KL0G).

Fair play.

I'll apply the update and retry and if it still fails I'll get the Verbatim.

Thanks

There's a newer firmware available for your burner (A111), although that won't change the fact that your media is low quality. Please try and get Verbatim DVD+R DL and you'll never regret :)

  • 4 months later...

apparently im having the same problem , but i dont know, its just that some times it works sometimes it doesnt, sometimes i can play my burned dvds on my play station 2 even when the imgburn says it was not complete , this is the case, with this particular movie.

sometimes it ejects the movie and gets it back, and still doesnt finish.

i really dont know if its the same problem all the time, i just saved this one. i use sony+r , i worked fine until i bought a different ones and stop working correctly, with any, except with one sony rewritable that i have i dont know the name of those dvds that screwed all up, they doesnt have a name , they are just white to print something on it.

i erased imageburn and download it again, and still doesnt work.

it works with some movies also, not all, i just burned kill bills both, and it worked fine, and beetween them i try another one, and i couldnt.

sometimes i use dvdshrink to save them in my hd, sometimes dvddecrypter, when i save them with dvddecrypter, i use dvdshrimk to compress them, and i build the dvd with imageburn

I 20:23:45 Destination Media Sectors: 2,295,104

In this particular case the error happened because you've tried to burn more data than the disc supports. As for the other errors you've mentioned, they could be due to a lot of different things and we'd need the burn logs from those bad burns to know what exactly went wrong with them. You can find the older logs in Help/ImgBurn logs.

I 20:23:45 Destination Device: [1:0:0] LITE-ON DVDRW SHW-160P6S PS09 (D:) (ATA)

You might want to update your burner's firmware to the latest version available (PS0B), as having the latest firmware ensures good burns on all types of media.

i downloaded the firmware, and, i try a different media, a sony, a still doesnt work, this time the ps2 doesnt even play at all the dvd. what do i do?, is the speed, too fast too slow, is it some setting that has to be adjusted, or is it just that my drive is screwed? tell me please that theres something i can do? :(

if i format my pc , would that fix the problem,? my pc has been having problems for quite some time now, it probably has virus or something

IF your drive can't verify the disc, it must have produced a bad burn (assuming it can read other stuff of course).

Try burning at 8x or 12x. If you get the same problem, find yourself some TYG02 or TYG03 media and try that.

If you can find some Verbatim DVD+R MCC dye media, that may work too.

If none of them work, try cleaning the drive and failing that, get yourself a new one.
