Hi all,

New to this forum & realitively green with computer literacy.

My issue:

I have an original automotive navigation disc which is recorded in Mode 1

I have loaded to my HD & burnt Mode 1 discs successfully from there

I however need to burn a Mode 2, Form 1 version of this disc from HD, I understand that ImgBurn will allow this but cant see where to choose this option within the programme or how to do it.

Can somebody give me a detailed step by step through this procedure - remembering my lack of ability in this field.

Help is much appreciated - Thanks

Sorry, but you won't be able to do that with ImgBurn, as ImgBurn can only build Mode 1 Form 1 discs/images.

More to the point, these car nav disks tend to be dual layer PTP. If this is your case, they can't be copied.

I have already copied the disc successfully in the same Mode 1 format as original & copies work perfectly.

I also require a mode 2 version which suits some earlier vehicle nav units

The reason I asked is that I do know that ImgBurn has been used to burn a Mode 2 version from a copy of the actual disc in question. (not done by myself) Does this mean that the files were altered to mode 2 first & then burnt as mode 2 disc with ImgBurn?

If so can anyone tell me how to do so??

Cheers

If the original isn't mode 2, I don't see why you'd ever need to convert it.

If it IS mode 2, just read another image from your original.

One of the ISO editing utils might be able to convert it. I could tell you how to do it manually but you'd be there all year editing every sector!

Requires converting to Mode 2 as some earlier vehicle nav units will only read a Mode 2 disc. There has only been a Mode 1 version map disc released for here
