xpainx Posted July 10, 2007 Share Posted July 10, 2007 Hey so I dont know what happened but I was able to burn with the same disc a few days ago but now when I insert a disc it loads and says Disc Not Empty but when I switch the program into Read mode I says the disc is empty. I did a search but couldn't find an answer any help would be great.. Specs: Burnner: Lite-On DVDRW SHW-160P6S Media: GQ DVD-R 4.7GB 16X ( Frys brand) I know your going to say thats the problem but belive me when I say Ive used this program and media for awhile. Then we see it's missing the pre-recorded info and also the supported write speed info. Do you have *any* other discs besides these to see if they're initialised / reported correctly? Ok first I posted the wrong info I belive that was from the read mode so i just switched it back to write mode and now it says its good to go??? I have know idea why this is but it work even after I restarted my comp. and update the drives FW . lol ok well for now it work thank you for all your help and fast replys LIGHTNING UK! LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 10, 2007 Share Posted July 10, 2007 At this stage, I've no idea! It could be any number of things. As asked earlier, is this happening with a range of discs? i.e. CD's, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW - all different makes/dyes? Have you tried changing the cable(s)? Have you tried following the DMA post in the FAQ? Doing that process can sometimes fix odd problems like this. Have you got any dodgy filter drivers installed? Take a look in the option on the Tools menu. Copy + paste the info here. When you've done all that, get the program running without any discs in the drive. Then press F8 to enabled I/O debug mode and insert a disc in the drive. When it's finished initialising it, press F8 again to disable I/O debug mode. Save the log to a file and upload it.
