blutach Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 I have your K on e8 (after taking my R when I played RxR - see posts 265 and 266). Am I mistaken? This would make it hard to play Kf6. Regards
Altercuno Posted August 13, 2007 Author Posted August 13, 2007 No your right, I beg your pardon blutach... I've been playing variations then not putting the pieces back right. Gonna get a second board today... Sorry mate dunno what to do now. With the King on e8 I wouldn't have played f5 and my games gone. Even if my King was on e7 it still leaves a hole on g8 for your rook.
blutach Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 On that basis let's go back to before f5 and play again Regards
Altercuno Posted August 13, 2007 Author Posted August 13, 2007 Great! Hoping you'd say that. Thank you... Kd7 Your Kings on f3?
blutach Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Good move - ensures a draw. Have fun! I'll leave you with a4. Regards
Altercuno Posted August 13, 2007 Author Posted August 13, 2007 Kc7 ...if its drawn do you want to start a new game?
blutach Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Ke3 Let's play on a bit, although if you are smart enough, you can deny me entry with your K and B. Regards
Altercuno Posted August 13, 2007 Author Posted August 13, 2007 (edited) a5 ...fair enough, nobody's ever accused me of being smart enough though... Edited August 13, 2007 by Altercuno
Altercuno Posted August 14, 2007 Author Posted August 14, 2007 I'm not happy about playing it tbh. So, whats better if I may ask?
blutach Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Bd6 You don't wanna let me anywhere near you and you need white square presence. Regards
blutach Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Re1 Your next move will deterine the game's outcome. Regards
Altercuno Posted August 14, 2007 Author Posted August 14, 2007 Kd7 ...other than the fact that I lost, we changed sides, you corrected me on bad moves about 5 times it was a close run thing... But excellent stuff...
blutach Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Good move! Stops me from invading your back rank. Just muck around for a bit to see if you really understand. End game is the hardest thing to practice. Re2 And, yes, it's been fun. See how easy it was to turn a loss into a win? Or at least a draw. Regards
