brett Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 trying to back up some seasons of king of queens...this season has 25 episodes i encoded it with nero and wrote it to my hdd.. vob, ifo, and all that, not an image..so i build the dvd with imgburn...pick the best break layer average was the best i could pick...burn successful and i play it and it wont play the 13 episode but it plays 14 and up so im guessing thats where imgburn put the layer break so thats why i think its that...and its not just a pause, my dvd player freezes and has to be powered off and back on...what can i do here to fix this? let me know thanks
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Hmm... do us a favour and post the entire log of the burn, please. HELP menu > Imgburn logs EDIT: Are you sure Nero Recode picked up all the files it needed? 25 episodes seems alot for a single disk.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Before doing anything else, buy some Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL discs and use those instead. They're FAR better than all the others and to be honest, you're lucky the ones you're using now burnt at all.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Then you get back to us! Episodic DVDs can be a little odd sometimes but I doubt the IFO's are the problem here, I think it's the discs - hence my recommendation to try some others.
Movie Junkie Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Hmm... do us a favour and post the entire log of the burn, please. Brett; are all 25 episodes on one dual-layer disc?

LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Again, that's just because you're using cheapo media. Cheap stuff either fails to burn or can't be played in (read by) several players because the quality of the burn is so poor (this in turn leads to skipping / jumping / freezing).
brett Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 i just bought some Verbatim and i will try again i will report back in acouple days...thanks for the help everyone!

I could be wrong but it appears to me that you don't have the original discs and you possibly downloaded the files or got them from someone who downloaded them.
