I got this message using sony and verbatim -r disks

Blimey this is getting to be a very common sight with Samsung drives!

 

It would appear the drive is producing bad burns, try cleaning it.

 

You might also like to try some Verbatim DVD+R media instead of the DVD-R ones.

 

Your very best bet though would be to get a decent external drive. Those slimline ones in laptops are never any good.
