Device not ready (medium not present)

Hi.

I am in the same boat as Kellan6, as I have also followed ALL instructions, gone out and bought, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+RW BLANK dics, and it still does not allow me to burn the file.

Incidentally, what does Firmware update mean/what is it?

Can someone please help, as I am having to watch the films through my computer, on a VERY uncomfortable chair, and would like to watch them from a comfy sofa.

The firmware is like the operating system for your drive.

 

If you don't update it, you might still be running the equivalent of Windows 95.

 

All you need to do is load ImgBurn and click Tools -> Drive -> Check for firmware updates.

 

Get the latest one and load it on.

Either update your firmware to drive or buy good quality media or change your chair
