Artimus Prime Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 (edited) I just spent all day yesterday backing up many disks of editing software to ISO files. Some of the ISO files also backed up adjacent MDS files. I tried to burn some of the ISO files but when I selected them to burn I got an error massage that said the system cannot find specified file! It would work with only a few of the files. I did manually change the names of both the ISO and MDS after backing them up when I forget to enter it before backing to ISO. Does this affect the system's ability to find the files? Is there a way to fix this problem and burn my disks?? Please help! Edited August 31, 2007 by Artimus Prime
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 That depends on if the MDS contains useful info. Chances are you can delete the MDS (well, move them to another folder) and then just burn the ISO - it'll only potentially be an issue if the images were double layer ones. Or if you're really desperate, hex edit the MDS file and change the file name stored at the end of the file to whatever the new one (of the ISO file) is.
