Unable to burn "cannont read media-format unknown"

I got the following errors when trying to burn a dvd for the first time with this program.

 

 

I 17:27:50 ImgBurn Version 2.3.2.0 started!

I 17:27:50 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2)

I 17:27:50 Total Physical Memory: 523,564 KB - Available: 337,724 KB

W 17:27:50 Drive D:\ (FAT32) does not support single files > 4 GB in size.

I 17:27:50 Initialising SPTI...

I 17:27:50 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...

I 17:27:50 Found 1 DVD-ROM and 1 DVD+RW!

Your drive is old and only supports DVD+R media. If you're using DVD-R media, that's why it doesn't work.

 

DVD-R is what I have. Are DVD+R still available?

 

Now I have this error, see attached.
