I know it's probably simpler than I'm making it out to be but I can't seem to make iso's etc show the imgburn icon

Is there a simple way to make this happen

You can probably do it via explorer. Tools -> Folder Options -> File Types.

Otherwise, you have to look at HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT in regedit, then browse to '.iso' and see what the default value is under there. My guess is something else is already the main app for such files and it's using that programs icon instead.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm having trouble on this all of a sudden, too.

My registry for .ISO

Default - REG_SZ - ImgBurn.Write.1

Now, in folder options, I try to change the icon and browse to ImgBurn.exe and it tells me the file has no icons!

Stumped here.

EDIT: Forget about it - somehow it found the icon and all is OK. Weird.

Regards

That's actually my fault blu.

The exe compression program has killed the one I made especially for file associations.

This is fixed in the next release.
