Shamus_McFartfinger Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 I 15:39:19 Destination Device: [2:2:0] DVDRW SATA H16X S12V (E:) (ATA)I 15:39:19 Destination Media Type: DVD+R (Disc ID: MCC-003-00) (Speeds: 4x, 8x) A couple of things stand out here. The optical drive (your DVD thingy) on the SATA port and your media. Lightning is the expert with these but I know there's been huge problems with them over the past couple of years. I think it best for him to field this one. Your media (even though it's Verbatim) can be a bit dodgy. Verbatim -R is great. +R/DL is great. +R is a bit dodgy. I've never had any luck with them myself. Pretty ordinary really. Grab some -Rs and see how you go.

Thanx for the rapid reply, I will do that tomorrow and the pc is only 2 weeks old so if changing the discs dont work it will be back to the shop with it. Whoes lightning will he/she see my post? Thanx again, si
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Try burning at 8x. That's decent media and you've no need to slow it down. I can't be sure on the make of your burner but it looks like it could be emprex/btc (from a quick google search). All their drives were rubbish so if it's one of those, do yourself a favour and get another one. Shame on whoever made your new pc for fitting one of those instead of a decent make.
dontasciime Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 thats 2 today They are terrible drives and no support
