SIMPLE_GUY Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 (edited) Hi, everyone! I have a notebook (Windovs XP home) with internal DVD drive (Matshita), and external one (LG) (USB). By the way i also have installed Daemon Tools virtual drive. Well. Sometimes (but not always) i get these error messages. It can be either for internal (matshita) drive or (mostly) for external (LG) drive. Usually, problem solves by restarting computer or (if error for LG) disconnecting and reconnecting external drive (LG) back to computer. I 18:29:29 ImgBurn Version 2.3.2.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Are you running some other 'packet writing' type software? For the OS to say it's not ready, I'd have to guess the drive is already being used by something and it has total control of it.

Actually i don't use Nero, but sometimes use Sonic to make an exact copy of a discs. Does ImgBurn makes exact copy of a disc? Sonic has 'Make exact copy of a disc' button and i like it very much. It is easy to use. Unfortunately i don't see that kind of feature in ImgBurn.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 You read the disc to an image in 'Read' mode and then write it to a disc in 'Write' mode.

Can that provide a negative effect on how files burned to a media? Thanks!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 You probably need to remove software like 'Nero InCD' and whatever Roxio's equivalent is - not the whole package. I couldn't say if that'll make a difference to you, only you know how you normally burn things. Personally I've never installed that stuff and I'm obviously still alive.

As i understood there is nothing terribly wrong with OS or drive(s) i'm using.
