I have certain files downloaded from the internet that i wish to burn to DVD.

My problem is that when i click add file, and browes, the programme doesn't seem to recognise the files I want and doesn't list them.

Do I need to convert them to something else for the imgburn to recognise them??? If so how do I do that?

Or What???

What type of files are they? AVI (DivX, XViD etc) ?

What type of disc do you want to burn? DVD Video?

ImgBurn won't convert anything, it's a burning tool.

You can quite easily google how to convert files, you'll learn a lot more if people don't hold your hand through everything.

If you have an actual issue with the burning stage, feel free to post again - but please try and provide some useful (detailed) info!

I have the same problem - avi files and so on (as per the Lightening reply).

this is the first time I am attempting to use imgburn, so it's rather frustrating.

You have to convert your avi to a DVD compliant file with a program such as DVD Flick. It will produce either a VIDEO_TS folder or an ISO image depending on how you set it up and it can use Imgburn to burn automatically for you.

If your dvd player can play AVI - divx/ xvid / mpeg 4 you would add files in build mode and burn the output iso

(normal dvd players play MPEG2) and will not play AVI so you have to convert avi/divx to mpeg2 first and then add them in build mode and burn output iso.

If you downloaded stuff they are zipped/rarred/compressed and will need to be extracted.

Build mode will allow you to add files/ press defaults in ImgBurn to reset your settings and try again.
