Steffs Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 I have certain files downloaded from the internet that i wish to burn to DVD. My problem is that when i click add file, and browes, the programme doesn't seem to recognise the files I want and doesn't list them. Do I need to convert them to something else for the imgburn to recognise them??? If so how do I do that? Or What???
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 What type of files are they? AVI (DivX, XViD etc) ? What type of disc do you want to burn? DVD Video? ImgBurn won't convert anything, it's a burning tool. You can quite easily google how to convert files, you'll learn a lot more if people don't hold your hand through everything. If you have an actual issue with the burning stage, feel free to post again - but please try and provide some useful (detailed) info!

I have the same problem - avi files and so on (as per the Lightening reply). this is the first time I am attempting to use imgburn, so it's rather frustrating.
LOCOENG Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 You have to convert your avi to a DVD compliant file with a program such as DVD Flick. It will produce either a VIDEO_TS folder or an ISO image depending on how you set it up and it can use Imgburn to burn automatically for you.
dontasciime Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 If your dvd player can play AVI - divx/ xvid / mpeg 4 you would add files in build mode and burn the output iso (normal dvd players play MPEG2) and will not play AVI so you have to convert avi/divx to mpeg2 first and then add them in build mode and burn output iso. If you downloaded stuff they are zipped/rarred/compressed and will need to be extracted. Build mode will allow you to add files/ press defaults in ImgBurn to reset your settings and try again.
