shar Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 I've read the guide... How to use the 'Automatic Write Speed' feature http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=4249 What I want to do is to limit the write speed to 2.4x for disc id MKM-001-00 and to 4x for anything else. Problem is it looks like imgburn wants you to explicitly spell out each 'other' disc id. Is there any way to just say if using this device use 4x, unless disc id is MKM-001-00 in which case use 2.4x ? thanks for a great product.
cornholio7 Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 just pop the other discs in one by one and add the properties you want for each. you only have to do it once for each disc
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 You can actually just add 'DVD-R' / 'DVD+R' / 'DVD+R DL' to the list and do it that way. (i.e. any of the values that show up under 'Current Profile') That's as generic as it gets though.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 FYI, I've now added a fallback whereby if the 'Disc ID' isn't found in the list (and it's therefore about to default to 'MAX'), it'll go through each item and compare it to the drive name. So where before you could add things like: TYG02, 8x TYG03, 12x DVD+R, 8x DVD-R, 8x You can now extend that to include PLEXTOR DVDR PX-760A, 4x PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-212, 8x Then, as you can see, the AWS feature knows that you want to burn at 8x whenever the Pioneer drive is selected and the media you're using is not defined in the list.
