ImgBurn burns DVD but not a CD

Recommended Posts

ImgBurn burns a DVD-R and DVD+R but when I try to burn an .iso on a normal CDR I get a notice saying there's not enough room on the disc (do you want to burn anyway ?)

I tried various CD brands 700 MB capacity, always the same.

And the files in the .iso are only 540 MB

Does ImageBurn support burning regular CD's ???

When I open Nero is shows also that the disc capacity is 700+ MB and the files are only 540 MB.

What am I doing wrong ?

Think I'm going insane. I just posted and it disappeared.

Thanks for the response. I used "Test Mode" and it was successful. When I have another Image to burn I'll

try "Write" and "Verify" see what happens in the future.

Sorry about the log, I've only used this program 3 times plus "Test" mode.

(Since the Test was successful I didn't attach the complete log)

Thank You !

You realise that test mode doesn't actually write anything on the disc yeah?

If you're burning 500mb, there would be no problem with that media, the program clearly knows there's 700mb free space.

Thank you LIGHTNING UK! for the response, your most kind.

Yes, I do realize that test mode doesn't actually write anything on the disc.

I just care to wait until I have something reasonable to burn before trying the CDR route again.

Perhaps that pop-up warning is standard and I'll just click OK and burn anyways -- see what happens in the future.

I love the small footprint this program has; I won't ignore it. Thanks.

Next time that 'not enough space' box comes up, press CTRL+C and it'll copy the text on it to your clipboard, then CTRL+V (paste) it into your reply.

It doesn't make sense that the info on the right says there's 700mb free and yet you're still getting the warning from a 540mb image.
