AgKyle2010 Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Okay...I've been trying to figure out why I cannot burn a copy of my dvd onto a DVD+R DL for the past week now and have gotten nowhere. I first tried AnyDVD and CloneDVD. I can copy the DVD with no problems to my harddrive but when I go to burn it to a DVD+R DL I get an error message. I then installed ImgBurn and am still having the same problem. This is the log file from ImgBurn: I 00:56:44 ImgBurn Version 2.3.2.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Try the 103D firmware http://ftp.us.dell.com/rmsd/103D-1.zip Then if that doesn't work, ditch those DL discs and get some 2.4x Verbatim ones instead.
blutach Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 @LUK! It kinda looks like he's already got the 103D. I 00:57:49 Destination Device: [1:0:0] _NEC DVD+-RW ND-6650A 103D (D:) (ATA) Sooooo..... Ditch those rotten CMCs and buy Verbs instead. The MID code you're looking for will be MKM-001 Regards
volvofl10 Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 prefferably Verbatims made in Singapore as opposed to made in India
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 lol I got confused between this thread and another one I found (on this forum) via google where the person was using 103C That's what I get for working 24/7 /me needs a break
AgKyle2010 Posted December 22, 2007 Author Posted December 22, 2007 Yea I was thinking I should probably try a different media. I'll for sure try those and see if it works and yes I installed the latest firmware. Also I was wondering if it made a difference that when I copied the DVD to my harddrive that I copied it as a DVD and not a DVD Image(ISO) or a movie file. Thanks in advance!
cornholio7 Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 shouldn't make a difference whether you burn an iso or from files an long as you follow the guides and you are using verbatim discs/current firmware and the dics are not made in india but MKM-001-00 made in singapore
