lostinspace
I have a few DVD's purchased in Germany - Region 0. Can I use ImgBurn to convert them to a format that US DVD players can read? Thanks.
Shamus_McFartfinger
Germany is Region 2. It's more likely that your DVDs are formatted in PAL and your player is NTSC. Imgburn can't remove or change region code nor can it reformat PAL to NTSC or vice-versa.
lostinspace
Yes, I see you're right -- they are PAL 0. What do I have to do to play them in the US? Germany is Region 2. It's more likely that your DVDs are formatted in PAL and your player is NTSC. Imgburn can't remove or change region code nor can it reformat PAL to NTSC or vice-versa. LIGHTNING UK!
Buy a player that supports PAL format discs or run them through a conversion tool. This isn't something you use ImgBurn for so your best bet is to Google for more information.
barakandl
The easiest way i have found to convert PAL -> NTSC is buy a player that can play both types! The other option would be to decrypt the german dvds you have then re encode the video files with TMPGenc DVD author. Then burn the new authored dvd. The re coding depending on your PC can take many hours if you want to retain most of the quality.
