i thought it might be the media but i have other media of the same brand that work on xbox and i havent changed the book type since it worked before

Posted

What exactly does it do / not do?

I'm pretty sure people have had DVD Videos from IB playing on their xbox 1.

Is it just DL ones you're having problems with or do none of them work?

well i use either my ps2 or xbox as a dvd player and my ps2 is in this room and plays it...my xbox does play dvd dl cause i have some of the same brand media as this one that works on it. so i know it will actually play them..i just dont understand why it doesnt choose to play this one..when i put it in it says this disc cannot be recognized make sure its an xbox game dvd movie or music cd may have scratches or be dirty something like that. the disc is brand new doesnt have scratches or dirt. so i dont know

The disc's that the xbox has played in the past, did you burn them yourself ? if so did you use the same burner ?

You need to be setting booktype to DVD-ROM especially if the xbox you have uses a Samsung Rom Drive.

post a log of the last burnt disc

I am not sure if the original xbox rom drives support seamless playback either.

yeah i burnt the other disc myself and with the same burner and same book type.

i wanted to try to change it to dvd-rom but i dont see dvd-rom when i go to change it.
