ImgBurn DVD Drives

Hi,

 

I am trying to burn an image onto a DVD-R using my drive a MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-850S 1.60 (ATA). Does ImgBurn work with this drive? Do I need to use one of the other book types i.e LG,LITE-ON,RICOH,Samsung,etc? Please could someone respond urgently.

Welcome to ImgBurn Forum.

 

Do not try to booktype a -R format. It does not work.

 

And, of course, ImgBurn works with the drive.

Whatever you want to use.

 

It doesn't really matter if it's DVD+ or DVD-.

 

Just make sure you get some decent discs - Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.

 

As the drive you've got only supports burning at 8x, I'd suggest you get 8x media rather than newer 16x stuff that it might not support properly.
