Hi!

I've always burnt discs with no problem at all, but I never burned any DL discs.

Today I did so and just in the very end while closing the track an error pops up saying

"Potential 'WaitImmediateIO' Deferred Error - (0/2) - Power Calibration Area Error"

I choose retry while loudly saying F**K F**K and F**K again, to my surprise it does work and reports the burn to be correct.

Even the verify succeeds but I have my doubts and it certainly doesn't feel safe at all.

What can be the cause of this error and how do I fix it?

Hi!

Just burned my first 360 disc following all the guidelines with layerbreak, booktype and the alike. Using quality verbatim media and all. It looked great until the very last second during the closing of the track, where an error pops up, I click TRY AGAIN, and it works saying the burn was successfull but this doesn't feel secure at all, I don't know if I'd put this disc in the 360 even if the verify suceeds (running right now). What may be the cause for this problem? The error was:

"Potential 'WaitImmediateIO' Deferred Error - (0/2) - Power Calibration Area Error".

My burner is a Sony DW-G120A.

Btw, THE READ VERIFY CHECKS, just finished, can you really trust this?

If the retry worked then it must have managed to do whatever it does when I tell it to close the track.

If the verify passed then the data in the file is all present and correct on the disc - when read in that drive.

You might find that another drive has issues initialising the disc due to that 'close track' error, I really can't say for sure.

Basically, if it works then it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't!

If you're bored one day you could try crossflashing to a real LiteOn SHM-165P6S. The latest LiteOn firmware might have better media support.
