ldore
I tried ImgBurn for the first time yesterday. Ripped fine to my pc but when I tried to burn it to a blank dvd (Verbatim) I got a message that it was too large to burn to the dvd. I just replaced my DVD burner with an LG GSA-H55L. I could not find where I could enter compression. I figured the software would compress the file as needed. What am I doing wrong??
LIGHTNING UK!
You figured wrong. ImgBurn is just a burning tool, it doesn't compress anything.
onusx
ok-- i just started using the program and need help with the same problem. i'm trying to burn a dvd that's pretty big (7 gigs) to my DVDr's which are 4.7 gigs, which i realize isn't going to fly. is it possible to split the DVD into 2 discs, and choose the split point (say a chapter or scene break from the original)? can i omit information on the DVD i'm burning that i don't really care about or need? If so, how do i do it? thanks, and thanks for the great program.
JasonFriday13
Google something like 'shrink dvd' or similar. One of the old programs there reduces the dvd so you can fit it on a 4.7GB (4.35GB actual) disc.
LIGHTNING UK!
Nero Recode will also shrink your discs. If you have Nero, that's pretty convenient
