MIG Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 First, thanks for the new version. As I could not find my issue from last year with old CD-ROM drives in the change log I just gave it a shot with my UltraPlex 40TS. Reading an Audio CD worked straight away: I 16:03:35 ImgBurn Version 2.4.0.0 started! The status window on the right shows a flashing -> Track 01 (Mode ???, LBA: 0 - 194202) during this. It is unpredictable which one of the two cases happens (tried several pressed and burned data CDs).
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 I dug out my plex 40 after someone said it didn't work (probably you?). That was ages ago though so newer changes might have broken something. The only reason it would 'loop' is if the drives status changes from ready to not ready or vice versa.
MIG Posted February 12, 2008 Author Posted February 12, 2008 I guess it was me last year in may. The question is should it work now or not, the current behaviour for recognizing data CDs looks quite accidental.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 It's not like the Plex was totally anti-mmc so yeah it should work. It was really just the read command for the plextor that was different. I'll dig my plextor out again and see if I can reproduce the problem you seem to be having.
