All of a sudden, I cannot complete a burn. My computer recently crashed, and I have to reformat my hard drive and put all new programs onto it. could that have anything to do with it?? Are there some settings I should change?? Here is the hardware I am using NEC 6650a with Dell 103D firmware I am using Verbatim media. mmalves Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 I 00:23:06 ImgBurn Version 2.2.0.0 started! Please update to the latest v2.4.0.0 version I 00:23:23 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: RITEKF1) (Speeds: 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x) This isn't a Verbatim disc, and the media you're using is known to be crap. Try using real Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden discs and you'll be fine
AHill84006 Posted February 18, 2008 Author Posted February 18, 2008 (edited) I don't mean to be difficult......but I have used other media than Verbatim in the past with no problems. Why all of a sudden the problem. the disks I am using are out of the same package, so they are not any different than I used a month ago. LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Try cleaning your drive. That might do it or it could just be dead.
Cynthia Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 MCC 03RG20 is the media code for Verbatims (or other brands that use that media code) on SL discs. MKM-001 is the media code for DL discs. You are mixing banas with apples. Edit: The post I answered to disappeard.
