See if you can find a firmware update for your burner (maybe contacting the manufacturer as I was unable to find anything about that burner). By the way, even if it did burn OK, it probably wouldn't work, as it seems your vortex-dmc4.dvd file is incomplete/corrupted: all X360 games have the layer break at 1,913,760 and, since your .dvd file didn't tell so to ImgBurn, the disc would be burnt in the wrong way.
chewy Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 HD DVD-ROM/DVD SuperMulti? newer Qosmio® Notebook ?
lemonada8 Posted February 29, 2008 Author Posted February 29, 2008 yeah i just got it in august, and it was 'top of the line'.......... and i also tried my ez-dub burner which i have never had a problem w/, and it still didnt burn... the power optimation thing failed everytime, and its a external drive thats plugged in.... so.... i'm lost!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 That media is quite new out so you'd need an up-to-date firmware that actually supported it. Try some verbs, they seem to have the best support over a wide range or drives.
chewy Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 ez-dub burner post that burn log I know a guy that's used that mid code and seems to be having good results in several different burners
lemonada8 Posted February 29, 2008 Author Posted February 29, 2008 ok, so whats the best way to update the firmware?
Cynthia Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 No disc in the device All other programs closed The tray inserted
lemonada8 Posted February 29, 2008 Author Posted February 29, 2008 ok, and where can i get the fimware from?
Cynthia Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Either from this site: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_search.php or from your manufacturers web page.
lemonada8 Posted February 29, 2008 Author Posted February 29, 2008 ..... ok i'm lost what do i search for? the computer model? or what? i have a qosmio f 45....
Cynthia Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 I tried to search for an update - but I couldn\'t find any. The same result did mmalves get in post #2. And TEAC's firmware page don't even mention your model. http://dspd.teac.de/index.php?id=477&L=1 The only thing is perhaps to send a mail to TEAC's support and ask if there is a new firmware for your model.
lemonada8 Posted March 1, 2008 Author Posted March 1, 2008 so i emailed teac customer support, and they dont even speak english... :S great... so should i try the ez dub dvdburner i have? ill get a post up w/ that burn log if it fails again... but everytime it says the power optimation fails tho...
lemonada8 Posted March 2, 2008 Author Posted March 2, 2008 so i tried burning again, and again, and this is the only log i got, andnow my drive wont recognize the disc untill like 15 min later... and it wont even pick it up in my external drive..... mmalves Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Only a firmware update could possibly fix that. As I said on post #2: Try with Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x MKM-001 Made In Singapore and it might work. I know it sounds like preaching, but Verbatim DLs are known to work where many others fail. If you can't return your blanks, keep them around, as you might be able to burn them with another burner.

chewy Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 the toshiba I am working on comes with a big leaflet which says, if it breaks call us tollfree, do not return to store looks like your laptop broke to play hd disks made after july 2007, I have to flash the bios and load a certain video driver and download a huge new player package? what's the point? I have already suggested that my client switch to an external dvd burner with proper support
