application failed to initialize properly

So I tried searching ever where and found no topic for my issue.

 

I have installed imgburn and every time I try to run it i get this error message:

 

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000005). Click ok to terminate application"

 

any ideas on what the problem is?

sorry I should have listed all that information/

 

I do not get any thing at all just that error message.

 

I am running XP PRO

 

I have 2 gigs of memory

 

and Im darn positive I dont have any viruses as it scans every morning and Im pretty protected.

 

I uninstalled dvd decrypter in case that was the issue and it didnt help.

More an issue with you! As a new member, your posts are moderated and not made visible until one of the senior members has ok'd them.

 

If you're not even getting the splashscreen then the problem is out of my hands as it's not my code that's messing things up.

 

Every time I've seen this problem in the past (and I probably haven't in a couple of years) it has been related to viruses or bad memory.

 

Do a few of those online virus scans from different vendors and maybe a few spyware sweeps with the likes of Spybot and Ad-aware.
