TrouserMouse Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I'm trying to set the book type for my Plextor PX-810SA which is a Pioneer OEM drive. There is no Pioneer OEM tab to set the Device ID. Am I out of luck? Thanks!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Pioneers always bitset DVD+R DL automatically, there are no commands available to programmers to change that I'm afraid. You can use a tool known as MCSE (Media Speed Code Edit) to patch the firmware and enable it for all the '+' format discs though. You can get more info on that over at the cdfreaks.com forum in the special 'Pioneer' section.
