LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 Maybe you just had a bad disc? Try another one. Try upping the speed to 4x - the drive might like that more. Where were your Verbatims made ? (look on the packaging) The ones from Singapore are the good ones. The ones from India are said to be inferior.
MeaningOfLightd Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Hi, I just got a similar error: --------------------------- ImgBurn --------------------------- I/O Error! Device: [1:0:0] PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-112D 1.22 (G:) (ATA) ScsiStatus: 0x02 Interpretation: Check Condition CDB: 2A 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 20 00 Interpretation: Write (10) - Sectors: 768 - 799 Sense Area: 71 00 04 00 00 00 00 0E 00 00 00 00 44 D9 00 00 00 00 2D D9 00 00 Interpretation: Unknown (Internal Target Failure) (0x44, 0xD9) --------------------------- Retry Cancel --------------------------- Nothing in the event logs. I tried various discs, the verbatims we get here in Australia are made in Taiwan. Eventually, I conceded my dvd-r was broken on my WinXP sp2 desktop, I tried on my laptop (dell Vista x64) and cant reproduce the error. So its a hardware issue..
mmalves Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Device: [1:0:0] PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-112D 1.22 (G:) (ATA) There's firmware 1.28 available for your burner. Remove any disc and close the tray before updating. Reboot after it has finished. Also, at which speed(s) are you burning your Verbatims? The best results usually are with 8x or 12x.
MeaningOfLightd Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Hi and thanks for your reply!! I should have thought to look for a firmware update.
