timss Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 (edited) I am trying to burn what i hope might be a iso image i got the file from here http://refit.sourceforge.net/ as you can see there are four options i choose the iso image the file is in fact a .gz file which i extected in ubuntu and inside is a CDR file i followed the format for burning a iso ( mode: write , selected the CDR file but said invalid format (I am in xp when i burn) any suggestions please? tim Edited March 24, 2008 by timss
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 It's not a windows disc so it doesn't contain a file system that ImgBurn understands. rename the file to .iso and ImgBurn will fallback to pretending it's a standard iso (mode1/2048)

mmalves Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Use Command Prompt/WinRAR/7-Zip/etc to change the extension of that disc image. Alternatively, configure your Windows to show file extensions (by default they're hidden so you can't edit them).
