Burning problems with DL DVD

Hi, I've been having some problems burning an ISO onto a DVD+R DL

I'm using a Verbatim DVD as recommended, and I've checked that my burner is compatible with the disc.

However, everytime i try to burn the ISO i get the following problem.

Update your firmware and try again, current version is A106 from here:

Before flashing take all discs out of drive and close tray. Follow any specific instructions contained in the readme.txt file.

Well I tried updating and it worked. Partially.

It burned till about 57% then it stopped.

Is there something else wrong?

Can you see on the package of those discs if they are made in India or in Singapore?

You really want the MKM-001-00 dye 2.4x ones rather than the newer 8x ones.

Aren't those 8X discs? Seems that your drive isn't seeing them properly in the first place.

Might be time to move on and snatch up a nice shiny new drive
