jubz
Alright, so I searched through the forum and took the following advice from some of the threads. Ok, so I'm burning a backup of Super Smash Bros Brawl. Used the following precautions: I used the custom layer break, wrote at 2.4X, have 2 different DVD media (Memorex and Verbatim) and updated the firmware on my DVD writer. I'm totally stumped now. here's the log from Imgburn I 02:52:14 ImgBurn Version 2.4.0.0 started!I 02:52:14 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3, v.3311) I 02:52:14 Total Physical Memory: 2,096,624 KB - Available: 1,449,144 KB I 02:52:16 Initialising SPTI... I 02:52:16 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 02:52:27 Found 1 DVD-ROM and 1 DVD
LIGHTNING UK!
Please post the Verbatim log too. That said, if it really won't burn the Verbatims either (and they're the 2.4x MKM-001-00 made in Singapore discs), it does sound like a new drive is in order. jubz
Unfortunately, I only had one disc of the Verbatim's and I did not save the log. But, ya, I think it may be time for a new drive
