Race Guy Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I'm getting an error on 2.4 that I never saw on 2.3.2. On "used" DVD-RW's, I get this warning message right after confirming that I want to overwrite the content: I 11:10:58 Operation Started! Not sure if it's a bug or even if it makes any difference......, but there it is!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 The 'Perform OPC Before Write' option is new in 2.4.0.0 If your drive can't handle it (which appears to be the case here), simply turn it off in the settings - it's on the 'Write' tab.
Race Guy Posted March 31, 2008 Author Posted March 31, 2008 I should have added that I've seen OPC "work" on both 'puters on a +DL burn. I just did a -R SL, & it did nothing........., no message saying "performing OPC" & (obviously) no write protected error. I only get the error on an RW. On the RW's, you would think that once I say "OK to erase", write protection would be overridden.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 The drive is returning that error, it's not one the program is throwing up itself.
