Hi. Nope havent cleansed the lens, so you think the problem might be the burner? thanks for helping me out man.
dontasciime Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Have you since tried to verify against image using the disc you burnt to see if it again fails just after the layerbreak ? Even with verbatim media that is not the end of burning as made in India verbatim media is not as good as it should be and is hit n miss made in Singapore media is normally much much better and is considered to be the utmost in quality for dual layer recording/burning
elsteffo Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 (edited) Have you since tried to verify against image using the disc you burnt to see if it again fails just after the layerbreak ? Same damn thing again, guess i`ll have to get a newer dvd burner then. Edited December 21, 2008 by elsteffo

LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 If you have a problem burning with ImgBurn, please tell us exactly what the problem is and include a copy of the log file showing you burning (and verifying). If you have a problem with anything else, it probably doesn't belong on this forum.
XB burnah Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Follow this guide and select the .dvd file as the image to burn When I do this this error appears: What can I do? Thnx
Cynthia Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Looks as your writer doesn't like the brand of media. What brand of media do you use? A full log would show it. Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs If it's a HP computer there is a later firmware that might work better. http://forum.imgburn.com/lofiversion/index.php/t6389.html
syedorf Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 (edited) right click dvd file and select burn with image burner the layer break was set wrong it should be 1913760 for an xbox game sorry above message incorrect i was looking at another part of the thread Edited January 4, 2009 by syedorf

bighairbigair Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 HI all, I am using 8x verbatim disks, but writing at 2.4x just to play it safe. However I am still running into problems. I have tried the burning with two different games, each with an .iso and .dvd file. Both times I selected the .dvd file to burn and both times I receive the following error (in bold). I 22:34:56 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! I 22:34:56 Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate x64 Edition (6.0, Build 6001 : Service Pack 1) I 22:34:56 Total Physical Memory: 4,191,884 KB - Available: 2,525,740 KB I 22:34:56 Initialising SPTI... I 22:34:56 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 22:34:56 Found 1 CD-RW, 1 DVD-ROM, 1 DVD
mmalves Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Have you tried with Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) blanks?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Looks like another nvidia controller issue to me, revert back to an older set of drivers.
bighairbigair Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 i have not tried the other type of verbatim disks, is there really that much of a difference? Is it because one is better than the other or are the a different format?
Cynthia Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Older drives seems to like the Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) blanks better as they have been around longer. The new ones 8x - are sometimes not very well supported as the firmware for the writer has not been released for ages.
bighairbigair Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 any suggestions if i were to buy a new burner, im thinking of upgrading soon anyways
