Remove any disc and close the tray before updating. Reboot after it has finished. Leave Verify enabled to make sure the disc was properly burned. Where are your Verbatim blanks made? It's printed on the packaging. By the way, when burning from the .dvd file you don't need to manually set the layerbreak in ImgBurn's Settings, so please restore the default settings (hint: Defaults button)

Cynthia
I had that Nec writer once upon a time and it was not good at that time either. Not knowing where you live, but a new writer costs around what a cheap keyboard costs.

Cynthia
I never had a LG writer myself. It looks as a nice writer if you read the review in CDFreaks.com http://club.cdfreaks.com/f91/cdfreaks-pres...-review-252153/ If you know what type of media codes you are going to use with this burner, like 'Disc ID: MKM-003-00' - you can find scans of burned discs in this thread - so you know what to expect if you buy it. http://club.cdfreaks.com/f91/lg-gh22n-l-re...cussion-242448/
