smu johnson Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Hi! I don't know the legality of this, I doubt it would be a problem... but here we go: Another suggestion: Please consider support for CloneCD image file bundles (.img, .ccd, .sub?) Then I nor anyone else would ever have to do "bad things" to burn CloneCD images Three cheers for ImgBurn!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 ImgBurn doesn't do 'RAW' writing and I doubt it ever will. The 'img' file would already be burnable but it just means you're limited to single session/track images.
smu johnson Posted April 29, 2008 Author Posted April 29, 2008 ImgBurn doesn't do 'RAW' writing and I doubt it ever will. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "RAW" writing. What about when burning .NGC GC backups that basically have no header? If you load these badboys up in Nero, they show them as RAW files and you have to pick the MODE1/2 settings, etc. But ImgBurn picks the default options and burns these without a hitch. Is that a different type of "RAW" burning? Sorry if this question sounds a bit stupid... I'm no CD-write-mode guru. Thanks!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Yes that's a different type of writing The burners support Incremental, TAO, SAO/DAO and RAW write types. ImgBurn only supports the first 3. The .SUB file you see in CloneCD images is the raw subchannel data (not something the user ever gets to see) and I believe that can only be written when you're using the RAW write type.
