mmalves Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Have you tried connecting the burner to other SATA ports to see if it still gives this same problem?
blutach Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I 09:43:14 Source File Volume Identifier: The.Orphanage[El.Orfanato][2007]DvD[Eng.Hard.Subs]-aXXo And we dont need to know you are burning illegally downloaded DVDs either. Regards
juandan Posted May 1, 2008 Author Posted May 1, 2008 I put the burner on another sata port and burned at a fast speed as you suggested and it worked but i have another problem the video will play on my pc, but not in my dvd player I don't think its the my dvd player I've burned dvd before with Imgburn and never had a problem playing them in my player I'm using the same media I always use Verbatim.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Does it burn and verify ok? Post the log of it doing that please. Burn at 12x. I'm not convinced that image you're burning is a DVD Video one to start with.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Your appalling write/verify speeds suggest you've got DMA issues. Take a look at the DMA related post in the FAQ so that your drive works at the correct speed.
juandan Posted May 2, 2008 Author Posted May 2, 2008 Your appalling write/verify speeds suggest you've got DMA issues. Take a look at the DMA related post in the FAQ so that your drive works at the correct speed. I've Tried everything and still can't get dma enabled, I looked in the bios and the burner is set to auto is that best setting to use or should I change it, there's few options like uldma 4 I don't really know much about it to tell the truth. I appreciate your help
Cynthia Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Auto should work fine. You have also uninstalled the primary and secondary ide in device manager and then done a reboot?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Deleting the main controller entry and rebooting has never failed for me.
juandan Posted May 2, 2008 Author Posted May 2, 2008 Deleting the main controller entry and rebooting has never failed for me. I have uninstalled the primary and secondary ide in device manager and rebooted but its still the same, I don't have an option to uninstall the main controller entry, do you mean the IDE ATA/ATAPI controller if it is then when I right click on the IDE ATA/ATAPI controller the only option I get is scan for hardware changes and properties, can I uninstall it in the bios?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 If it says primary and secondary then you're talking about the channels, not the controller. You should have a 3rd one listed under that 'IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller' branch. That's the one you need to delete and it'll take the other two with it.
