I got a Optiar 7173A dvd burner and I use always Verbatim dvd's but since last week something funny keeps happening here with dvd's. This is what every time happens: I 21:37:53 ImgBurn Version 2.4.0.0 started! If the firmware update is failing, what's the message? Are you sure you got the right one? heszar Posted May 19, 2008 Author Share Posted May 19, 2008 Yes I'm sure I got the right one AD7173A is my burner and I got the same firmware update. When click on update button(after closing all my other apps) my burner begins to flash, after 5 seconds I get mssge that "UPDATE FAILED" but the green led of my burner keeps flashing and my pc sort of freeze but not totaly freeze's only some apps wont work anymore.
