I got a Optiar 7173A dvd burner and I use always Verbatim dvd's but since last week something funny keeps happening here with dvd's. heszar Posted May 19, 2008 Author Posted May 19, 2008 Yes I'm sure I got the right one AD7173A is my burner and I got the same firmware update. When click on update button(after closing all my other apps) my burner begins to flash, after 5 seconds I get mssge that "UPDATE FAILED" but the green led of my burner keeps flashing and my pc sort of freeze but not totaly freeze's only some apps wont work anymore. BTW there is no media or what so ever in my burner when im flashing... greetz
