Thanks to ImgBurn I was able to convert my bootable recovery CD to a bootable DVD. I did this just by making an image of the CD and writing it out to a DVD.

However, what I would also like to do, is do the same thing but also adding one folder to the bootable DVD. I tried to use build mode to do this. I used the advanced tab to create boot image of the original CD and put that in the slot. However, there is no selection for CD bootable image - only 1.44 floppy, HD, and custom. So I selected custom.

The DVD won't boot, even though all the desired files are there including the new folder. Gives error code 5 when trying. Is there something different or additional I need to do?

Also, if there is an article on this already, I didn't find it.

Hi and welcome to the forum, Michaels144! :)

You should be able to extract the Boot Image in the lower part of that tab from the CD (The icon with the floppy disc) and then add that boot image in the compilation by selecting the folder icon.

Thank you.

No problem there. It's called BootImage.ima.

If by 'in the compilation' you mean put it in the section to the right of 'Boot Image:' by selecting that folder icon there, then that is what I did. And it didn't work. Gave error code 5 when trying to boot the DVD.

My question is what Emulation Type do you select? The default is 1.44 floppy, but there isn't one for CD. I selected 'None(custom)' but that didn't work. So should I leave 1.44 floppy there (it complains if I do). Or try 'hardisk' emulation? Any other ideas?
