I'm a new user of the program, and each time I've attempted to burn a disc, I have gotten the same error, at the same point... here's a copy of my Log:

Looked at some previous posts about this device and I would suggest getting a new external device also. The problem with reading burned discs seems to be a common problem with this one. :(

Thanks a bunch to you both for your input. A buddy of mine just gave me a few of his discs to tide me over for a while... I use Verbatim's for my CD's so I'll probably go with those.

 

And yeah, the drive that I have has been very touchy from the get go, and it's always been like rolling the dice. I'll invest in a new one this weekend.

Suggested drives would be NEC 7200 or Pioneer 115....Lite-On has some strong models as well.

I just purchased a new drive, and everything went great on the first go around. After I use up the other 5 cheap discs, I will switch to Verbatim though. Again thanks for you time and suggestions. I'm now a happy camper.
