Wolvo-can Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Hi folks, I have extrtracted with IsoBuster a boot image from a original XP-Home Version for use in recovery-cd. Than I crated a ISO-File with ImgBurn. By starting it on a VirtualBox-Platform comes the error-message "No bootable medium found". What I did wrong? Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance, Wolvo
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Is that actually supposed to work anyway? The 2k boot image will be expecting a certain file in the i386 folder. Which options did you use for the bootable bit within ImgBurn? ImgBurn can extract boot images from CD/DVD discs too and it tells you everything you need to know about how to re-use them in the log.
Wolvo-can Posted June 11, 2008 Author Posted June 11, 2008 Hi, thanks for your support, I have extract the boot image with ImgBurn - tested with VirtualBox: error "CDBOOT: Cannot boot from CD - Code: 5" - wahtever that means. Regards, Wolvo
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Could you please answer the questions I posted above. If the files you're adding to the 'Source' box aren't correct then the little boot image isn't going to do anything. It's not a case of '1 boot image for all'.
